About Moogsie Jo
Hi, I’m Moogsie Jo!
I’m a happy “chaotic creative”, daughter, sister, friend, wife, mum of two kidlets, huuuge nerd, and certified human being enthusiast!
I’m convinced it’s my life’s purpose to bring people joy, and to help people step into their authentic selves, using things we share a mutual love of: a combination of personal growth and creative arts-based tools and practices.
“Love and Joy are stronger than their opposites.”
Every story needs a good villain...mine was myself.
Two sides, at war with each other…or are they??
Ever since I can remember, I was aware of two threads within me, seemingly at odds with each other.
There was the thread within me that took life really hard, that felt the pain of it all very heavily. A thread of melancholy that never left my awareness fully.
The side of me that found it hard to not come to dark conclusions about the world and myself in it.
But there was also always an answering thread of joy, that time and time again would fill me up with the promise of life and hope and good things to come.
For a long while, after each time life would deal my sensitive soul a wound, as it does to us all, I would bounce back. After each wound the thread of joy would rise up within me again.
Until one day, it just didn’t.
Finding the way forward
Years of depression and darkness followed.
I spent so long wrestling with sadness, isolation, grief. Feeling misunderstood. Feeling different and therefore lonely. Like I had no clue how to connect my rich inner world to my outer world.
I can’t say with honesty that there was a quick solution, but then again, you knew I was going to say that, didn’t you?
But there was a way forward. There is always a way forward.
Would I say that I, alone, discovered the secret of how to be perfectly content and happy at all times? Of course not! But again, since you’re here, searching just like I was, you’re past the point of expecting a quick fix, aren’t you?
What I did discover, is that there are things that help an awful lot!
There are patterns you can notice, and tools you can use, and beliefs you can challenge and replace, if you are willing to come along for the journey.
I knew in my heart of hearts it would be worth it. For myself, and for the people I loved. I decided to take that journey.
I couldn’t see what would be on the other side of it all. I could only see a bit of light ahead.
As I followed that little bit of light I could see in front of me, I started to learn how to find my joy again.
And this time, to keep it.
Whaddaya know? It works for other people too!
I began to notice the increasing impact this was having on the people around me. I started to realise that the things I was doing, I was passing onto other people.
I was not only helping me find joy, I was helping them find joy as well.
And I fell in love with it.
It wasn’t long before I realised I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.
And ever since, I’ve been writing workshops and creating courses that help people like you do exactly that.
It’s why I created my earliest course available on here, Music and Mindfulness. It’s why I started my podcast, Life Failed Successfully.
It’s why I decided to open a membership for those wanting to journey together.
What I really, really love doing is creating spaces and communities that are warm and welcoming, where people feel safe and supported because we hold space for each other, where there are opportunities to play, to explore, to try new things with worrying about failure or judgement.
In these spaces, I see precious people begin to shed their fears and get in touch with their real selves, leaving behind the million-and-one voices imposing their ideas of what you “should” be doing.
For me, it’s the most exciting thing in the world to see people experience transformation in these moments, and find new freedom to focus their life’s energy on the things that are most meaningful to them!

Here For The Full Ride
You, dear friend, have lived a life.
I’m sure it’s abundantly obvious to you by now that life holds both happiness and sorrow, support and challenge, for each of us. I’m certainly not saying we can eliminate pain and hardship completely.
But can we choose a different way of responding to it all? A way that opens us up to new growth, deepens our appreciation for what we have, and invites us into joy?
Absolutely, we can.
The two threads I used to think could only cancel each other out, I now understand are part of my full human experience, and that I get a choice in how I respond to them.
We can face the realities of life bravely and wisely with eyes open. We can get to know ourselves with curiosity and compassion. We can embrace love as our north star and an open heart & mind as our trusty lil’ boat for the journey! And that’s what the resources I’m offering here within our community are all about.
I am 10000% convinced that we can experience joy in the journey.
Because I know in the core of my soul, that Love and Joy are stronger than their opposites.
If this resonates with your heart or your journey, you’re invited too.
Will you be joining us, friend?
